MONREPOS ist Ausbildungsstandort der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Sabine Gaudzinski-Windheuser, Leiterin von MONREPOS, ist dort Professorin am Institut für Altertumswissenschaften, Arbeitsbereich Vor- und Frühgeschichtliche Archäologie. Zusammen mit MONREPOS wird die Archäologie der Menschwerdung im dreiteiligen Modul „Pleistozäne Archäologie“ gelehrt. Internships
For your credentials in the context of university education, we offer you internships in the museum, on excavations and in the laboratory. On request, you can stay in one of our collegiate rooms during your stay in MONREPOS. Everything you need to know has been summarized here.
Postdoctoral Scholarships
Innovative concepts for projects by young researchers after obtaining their doctorate are regularly supported by the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum with the award of Postdoctoral Scholarships.
PhD Scholarships
The Prinz Maximilian zu Wied Foundation and the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum together award the Prinz Maximilian zu Wied Scholarship.
Applicants should be students with an excellent academic record who wish to conduct doctoral research on a theme relevant to Pleistocene or early Holocene archaeology. The Scholarship is 1,200.- Euro per month over a maximum period of three years. Additional funding for travel and project research may be applied for separately by the successful candidate.
A prerequisite for application is the successful completion of a first degree in Pre- and Protohistory or a related subject.
